To Whom It May Concern: I am writing this letter to say thank you for being there when I needed you. I found a large bee's nest in the corner of my cellar with thousands of bees in it which were also flying around my cellar. Not knowing how to fix the problem friends told me to purchase bug spray. I thought "how in the world will I be able to spray them and run" when the commercial for Buffalo Exterminating came on the television. I knew that was the way I was going to get rid of my bees the RIGHT way and the call was made. Right from the first phone call we were confident that we made the right decision and (had) called the professional to handle the job. The gentleman whose name is Dan did just what was explained would happen: he called 12 hour before his arrival, looked at the situation, explained to my husband exactly what he was going to do and (that) if there were any problems feel free to call and he would return. He conducted himself in a very professional way and we would like to thank him and you for your choice of employees. He also explained that you have a once a month application that can be done to control any further problems and we are going to take advantage of that as well. So, this letter is a testimonial that we appreciate your kindness in a time of need, your understanding, and your swiftness in responding. We thank men like Dan.

My family had its first picnic in our backyard in a decade! That's because we started Home Protection Plus at the end of last summer; and as Buffalo Exterminating promised, it has kept the carpenter bees and wasps away this year! We've received 4 treatments, one in the summer and 3 in the other seasons, which insured that our pests would be gone. I've also used Buffalo Exterminating for some of the other 31 pests that are covered under Home Protection Plus and Buffalo Exterminating has always responded quickly and has always been successful in eradicating the pests. The technicians have been very friendly and knowledgeable, taking their time to answer all of my questions. Thanks for helping us take back our house and yard from so many pests! Donna

My technician showed up on time and was clean and professional. I tell all of my friends they are crazy if they don't use Buffalo Exterminating to take care of their homes!

Carpenter ants destroy your home and property. They cause millions of dollars of damage. You can have carpenter ants without obvious visible evidence, so it is difficult to determine the magnitude of the problem. (Mature colonies contain up to 5,000 ants.) Re-infestation is a frequent problem unless professional preventative maintenance is performed, since parent colony ants may service satellites over several acres for three years after a satellite colony is removed. Inexperienced applications of over-the-counter products are usually ineffective at preventing re-infestation; if improperly applied they can be unsafe around pets and people. Seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
Pavement ants are small ants, about 1/8 inch and their colonies typically range from 3,000 to 4,000 individuals. They live under concrete slabs, along foundations, and under rocks. They enter structures along foundations, through masonry cracks, under doors and commonly seek out heat sources during cooler months. They feed on greasy and sweet foods, therefore they frequent kitchen areas, but are commonly found in other areas as well. Pavement ants contaminate food products and are difficult to control because of their habit of nesting in such secluded locations. Inexperience application of over-the-counter products are usually ineffective at preventing re-infestation; if improperly applied they can be unsafe around pets and people. Seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
Yellow jacket wasps defend their nests aggressively, repeatedly stinging children, pets and adults. They are a feared nuisance at picnics, around pools and at other outdoor activities, especially during late summer. Some people develop os sensitivity to the venom delivered by their painful stings; later stings can then create a serious health threat to the affected individual. Over-the-counter methods are usually ineffective and may be hazardous to humans and pets. Inexperienced applications of over-the-counter products are usually ineffective, often result in the applicator getting stung and if improperly applied can be unsafe around pets and people. Be cautious: seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
When disturbed, paper wasps sting readily and sometimes fatally. Wasp nests can house hundreds of wasps. Paper wasps build nests under and around eaves, soffits, deck/porch rails, window & door frames, stairs, porch ceilings, mail boxes, lights, yard play sets, pool edges, behind shutters and other areas. Inexperienced applications of over-the-counter products are usually ineffective, and often result in the applicator getting stung. If improperly applied they can be unsafe around pets and people. Be cautious: seek professional assistance and consider and ongoing preventative program.
Carpenter bees are normally not aggressive but will sting readily if antagonized. They cause extensive damage to wood soffits, fascia, log homes and other wooden members. If not thwarted, they burrow right into our homes, boring large holes in wood to raise their young. Unchecked, they continue to produce new offspring and infest our homes. Over-the-counter treatments do not penetrate deep into their galleries where immature bees develop, and wood stains or sealants usually do not prevent tunneling. Inexperienced of over-the-counter products are usually ineffective, and may result in the applicator getting stung. If improperly applied they can be unsafe around pets and people. Seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
German cockroaches invade homes, restaurants, commercial kitchens and grocery stores, transmitting diseases and infesting our foodstores. They can transmit pathogenic organisms, and parasitic protozoans. They have most recently been linked to allergic reactions in children, due to their cast skins and fecal deposits. German cockroaches reproduce prolifically and are difficult to eliminate without professional help. Most over-the-counter treatments do not reach the cracks and crevices where roaches hide. Unless more than 98% of a population is eliminated, it will rebound in only a few months. Inexperienced applications of over-the-counter products are usually ineffective at preventing re-infestation; if improperly applied they can be unsafe around pets and people. Seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
Spiders found in and around structures are commonly web builders which trap flying insects for their food. Spiders not only cause a nuicance by their persistent web building and fecal deposits, but they have the ability to bite, typically leaving two marks in the center of an irritated spot on the skin. Inexperienced of over-the-counter products are usually ineffective, and may result in the applicator getting stung. If improperly applied they can be unsafe around pets and people. Seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
Mice multiply rapidly; two mice can grow into a major problem in only a few months. They consume five to ten times their body weight in a single month, creating nearly 1,400 fecal droppings. Mice damage dry goods and stored foods, gnaw telephone and security alarm wires, and chew electrical wires causing building fires. They cause odor problems from urine soaked nests, carry fleas, mites and other parasitic pests, and contribute to asthma in children and contribute to numerous serious diseases. Mice quickly develop large populations, so complete control must be gained immediately. As inexperienced use of over-the-counter rodent baits and snap traps are unsafe around people and pets, seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
Grain beetles compromise a large group of insect species which attack a wide variety of grain and grain products from whole grains, processed flour products to dried flour arrangements. They most commonly become established in products that are stored for an extended period of time or when susceptible food products are spilled and remain unnoticed. Inexperienced applications of over-the-counter products are usually ineffective at preventing re-infestation; if improperly applied they can be unsafe around pets and people. Seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
Indian meal moths take over our food stores. They are extremely difficult to eliminate once they establish a foothold; they have a high reproductive rate and rapidly spread to new sites. Hundreds of even thousands of larvae may infest and contaminate food with fecal pellets and cast skins. They rapidly spread to more food sites - often in distant and secluded places - and are difficult to locate and eradicate. It requires a thorough understanding of their biology and habits to locate and eliminate difficult-to-find harborage sites. The only practical control solution is to track down and discard all infested products. Inexperienced applications of over-the-counter products are usually ineffective at preventing re-infestation; if improperly applied they can be unsafe around pets and people. Seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
Centipedes invade our homes and may bite. They become pests when they move inside structures and live in our homes and plants. Centipedes have poison glands used to kill insects upon which they feed, and can bite children and adults, inflicting a bite similar to a bee sting. Over-the-counter treatments may kill centipedes they contact, but it usually requires professional expertise to locate all the sources of infestation. Treatments improperly applied can be unsafe around people and pets. Seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
Rats gnaw and damage materials, contaminate stored food, carry disease and threaten human safety. The average rat can create over 100 dropping and 2 teaspoons of urine each day. Rats should not be approached by individuals. Due to their cautious nature, considerable expertise and multiple services are necessary for effective long-term control. Older and more dominant rats are wary of any changes in their environment, and are less likely to respond to control efforts. It is critical that outside and inside sanitation deficiencies are corrected, and that the structural integrity of all buildings is sound. Inexperienced applications of over-the-counter products are usually ineffective at preventing re-infestation; if improperly applied they can be unsafe around pets and people. Seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
Silverfish and firebrats cause damage by eating foods or other materials that are high in protein, sugar, or starch. They eat cereals, moist wheat flour, paper on which there is glue or paste, sizing in paper book bindings, starch in clothing, and rayon fabrics. They hide during the day, and are difficult to locate and completely eradicate. You should also look for eggs year round in secluded places, such as behind books or on closet shelves. They are hardy and can live for several months without food. Inexperienced applications of over-the-counter products are usually ineffective at preventing re-infestation; if improperly applied they can be unsafe around pets and people. Seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
Bats, common in and around buildings in Western New York, are beneficial in their outside environment but may be a nuisance or even a health concern when inside our living spaces. Bats play an important role in pest management within the ecosystem surrounding us. One single bat can consume well over one thousand mosquito size insects each night during its feeding flight between dusk and dawn. Bats cause problems from odors associated with their droppings (guano) in roosting sites inside attics and walls of buildings. Histoplasmosis, a fungal disease with flu like symptoms, may be contracted through inhalation of dried bat droppings. Rabies while not overly common in bats is a potentially life threatening disease and causes concern with every bat encounter. Bat parasites such as mites, ticks, fleas and bat bugs may pose problems once bats are excluded from a structure. Seek professional assistance and consider an ongoing preventative program.
