An Erie County-based pest exterminator has taken over Pioneer Pest Management of Hamlin as part of a
move to expand its presence in the Rochester region.
The combined operation of Rochester Pest Management and Pioneer will be renamed Rochester
Exterminating and will operate out of Pioneer Pest’s offices.
Rochester Pest Management is an arm of Buffalo Exterminating of Orchard Park. That company was
founded in 1954 and expanded into Rochester about eight years ago, said General Manager John
Zimmerman.
While most of Rochester Pest Management’s work has been with business clients, Rochester Exterminating
will begin focusing more on the household market for its pest prevention services, Zimmerman said.
“We’re hoping to be able to mirror what we’ve done in the Buffalo market,” he said.
Rochester Exterminating employs two. Financial terms of the deal were not divulged. |
